Protein powder 02-26-2023, 01:20 PM

I purchased two bags of protein powder which were advertised to taste like chocolate, but it tastes HORRIBLE and is very hard to mix with water. I want to get my money back, but since I opened the bag (only one bag, I want to send back both) returning is not an option. I want to call the company and tell them the bag was infested with maggots, maybe make a small hole in the bag so it's believable and send it back if they want me to. Do you think this could be successful @
mothered ?

You could claim the bags had been damaged in transit and had split, thus spilling the contents. I've had success with this each time I've tried, so definitely worth considering.

Well I already opened one of the bags, I could only return the other one but I want to get my money back for both of them.

Thanks for the suggestion, but what if they ask me to return them?

never mix protein with water, it tastes absolutely horrendous unless you get the good stuff. always mix with milk.

yes, the good old maggot method.
Problem with making such outlandish claims is that they may ask you for photos, and something tells me you don't have any maggots at hand....
Better to say mould or product contains traces of plastics.... mention some consumer laws, and that the product is not fit for consumption and request full refund. The more you sound like you know your rights, the smoother it will be.
Worst case scenario you send them back an empty bag of protein.

Most companies you can return even if you’ve opened and tried it.
