Due to the closure of my bank account (cifas marker) I was unable to preform any refunds recently. The bank hasn't returned my money so its quite frustrating.

Can you speculate on what might have caused the CIFAS marker ? Have you done hundreds of refunds on that account ?
I'm not speaking for the member In question, but generally, all It takes Is a single transaction to be deemed as potential fraud thereby trigger the CIFAS marker.

I'm assuming a suspicious refund counts in this case ?

Everything I post here is fictional. Anything mentioned on my posts that corresponds to events happened in real life are coincidental

Didn't you say other people were using their accounts to do this?

Are these CIFAS markers a common occurrence for people SEing? First I heard of this sort of thing, Anyone else have any more experience of hassle caused to people after SEing goods? I will obviously search the term via search engine, but would love to learn more about this sort of thing from the community if any of you know more. Stay safe out there!

Definitely, particularly If some degree of fraudulent Intent has been Identified.

Shheeeiiitttt. Is there a way to check if you have any outstanding CIFAS marker's against your name ?

EDIT: Never mind, figured it out. Might be worthwhile for SE'ers to periodically check this.

Absolutely.

It's very good practice to do a periodic check.
