boxing method help 01-13-2023, 10:33 PM

hi everyone,
I ordered a macbook 13 from qvc and I want to use the boxing method for SEing it. I received the order as a big box containing two things: the box of the macbook itself and a shitty gift .
My plan is to tell them live chat that the product doesn't turn on and ask for a refund.
The previous part is easy to do so now I'm planning how to prepare the package: My intentions were to replace the 1.4kg laptop with 1.4kg dry ice and than seal everything with a red tape and finally open it again from a side in a more rude way and close it with another tape before delivering it on friday so the ice has time to melt before reaching is final destination
Let me know what do you guys think about it and feel free to give any tip

just checked the tracking of delivery and it's written the box weight delivered is 1 kg whereas in reality just the pc weights 1,3 kg, should I opt for eb instead of the boxing method?

Way too heavy to EB It.
the pack actually weighs more than 3 kg but in the label it's written just 1 kg. If I claim eb and they find out that my delivered pack was apparently too light to have a macbook inside of it why my claim wouldn't be accepted?

The package Is weighed when packed, prior to being dispatched and at the depot, hence they can refer to any one of those points and Identify the correct weight.
sure but since it got to me with the wrong weight is correct to assume that during the delivery something must have gone wrong and the pc got lost? do you think it could work?

The only way It could work, Is If you say you've received a damaged package, therefore the PC was not Inside on arrival to your address.
they told me that they opened a report and after I fill up a statement they will controll everything and eventually will give me a replacement if the product is still available or a refund

It's good that they're working towards a replacement/refund.
What type of document Is It?
They told me they will send an email with a declaration that I need to fill so from that they con proceed with the investigation. They didn't send anything yet but I think it's normal since it's Sunday. Eventually I told them that I need the pc asap because my brother is graduating and he deserves a new machine and they told me to not worry since we are "protected"
