I'm actually planning to give it as a gift for a friend. Their birthday is coming up in a month so I hope that is enough time so they won't blacklist the VR.

They do have the capacity to track the device by Its serial number to see If It's In use, so the longer It's left unattended, the better the chance of not being blacklisted.

One month should well and truly suffice.

Well all was going smoothly until the courier as good as lost the package, it is the 13th today after all!

It was scanned as arrived at there depot 3 days ago but was never sent  anywhere thereafter, according to the live chat they have conducted a "base search" of the depot which is  most likely going to turn up fruitless. Meta have instructed me to return to them if the package hasn't arrived in 48 hours, sigh.

@mothered looks like I'm pushing for a legitimate replacement, still worth EBing the replacement if and when it arrives? Would kindly request your opinion.

EB'ing Meta continues to succeed, so there shouldn't be a problem SEing the replacement In the same fashion.

Correct, you haven't received your Item as yet, so the Initial SE takes place when It's delivered.

As I see it, it's just complicated the process as Im now essentially going for a replacement/refund I never planned for nor stand to profit from initially.
