Quote:1. I waited in front of my house so that the delivery man would not call me, that would have made the DNA easier but he called me twice..
Did you answer the call?

Quote:2. Concerning the signature I have obviously made a fake signature readable without my name but I am afraid that the investigation service (of the seller or if the delivery service) will notice a similarity between the two handwriting. Is this fear well-founded or is there no risk at this level?
You're overthinking It.

They're obviously not forensic graphologists (handwriting experts), nor will they go to the length of contacting one.

Quote:3. I live in a big city almost in the center of town but I still wonder. Is it possible if I am asked for a police report that the police investigate this "theft" with the street surveillance cameras, or even that they come to question me?
It's extremely unlikely that the police will pursue a mediocre one-off claim, particularly when no suspicion has been raised whatsoever.

Thanks a lot for your answers!
And unfortunately yes, I had to answer both times... Will this compromise the DNA? And what do you think is the best way to tell the rep about that?

What did you say to the driver?

About what?

The conversation with the driver?

I told him I was in front of my building.

But that's not evidence, is it? He couldn't have recorded the conversation without my knowledge, right?

And even if he tells the investigation service what really happened, I can deny it and say that if they don't believe me they can ask to look at the cameras in my building, right?

And yes about the best thing to say to the rep about the driver's conversation in order to serve the se

That's fine.

It doesn't conclude that the driver successfully delivered It to where you were located at the front of your building.

No - for the above reason.

Extremely unlikely.

Very few drivers keep record of conversations.

The driver's word holds no value to verify consignments.

Thank you very much for your answer. So if I tell the rep:
1. that I could not be home during the delivery appointment.
2. that the delivery man called me twice and both times I told him I couldn't be there and he didn't offer me a new appointment later or the next day.
Does this seem like to be the best approach for you or would you add something else?

Don't elaborate, It may work against you.

Simply say you haven't received your package and leave It at that.

Okay I see, thanks but:

1. Don't I have to detail a minimum? Because it was a delivery by appointment in a 2 hour time slot that I chose beforehand. I should at least say that I could not be at home when the delivery should have been made no?

2. And so only afterwards if they ask me (after investigation or not) if I was contacted by the delivery man I would tell them that indeed he called me but that I told him that I was not at home. Does this seem less "suspicious" to you as an approach or there is still some inconsistencies in my plan?

Correct.

That's what I've stated In my previous post - don't elaborate.

If you're questioned about the delivery window, only then do you say what you've mentioned above.

Otherwise, don't say anything.

Put simply, If they ask, comply.

If they don't, say nothing.

Okay, I'll be as concise as possible then. If I'm asked I'll say and if I'm not asked I won't say.

I will contact them tomorrow by phone then! Thank you very much and I will keep you informed of the progress
