Laptop DNA forced to Chargeback with CC. Who are they likely to side with? 01-06-2023, 10:57 PM

Bought a laptop from Best Buy. Value of over $1000. Item was shipped WITHOUT requiring signature. Was marked as delivered and left outside.
Vendor said they concluded investigation and would not offer refund. They won't budge.
If filing chargeback with CC for DNA, given no signature taken, should this work?

I'm not sure. If they're like PP, they would side with tracking information.

I've done chargebacks with AMEX for Coach and when AMEX sided with the merchant because of tracking info I just kept reopening the investigation until Coach failed to respond to the chargeback claim. They either gave up or it slipped through the cracks somehow. Took about 3-4 months.

They just said they concluded their investigation and said it was confirmed as delivered.
It was not signed for, however.

Companies are starting to be less and less customer friendly. According to your information, there is no reason to not trust your version - there was no investigation from the company's side, just a tracking confirmation - worst case you can just pay somebody to alter your tracking and say returned to seller if you are scared and wish for basically 100% success
