Sealed box method with a CPU #1
Hello again,

I was wondering if a sealed box method with a high end cpu was possible.
The CPU i want to SE is an intel i9 13900k which is surrounded by a silver box that hides it from the outside view.
Is it possible to do the sealed box method just by removing it from the box and not putting anything back in?
Because of the extremely low weight of a CPU, the difference will not be noticeable and if another customer buys it later, I won't be accused of having put a counterfeit product in it.

And do you know if with amazon and apple checking sealed boxes in the last few months, other smaller (non international) tech companies have started to do the same?

Thanks

Yes, both check sealed box returns.

Best Buy tend to only check the seal, but not open and Inspect Its contents.

I found on a website and apparently it weight around 50-70gr

Okay thanks. But for a national franch tech seller do you think that they will remove the seal or its impossible for you?

Even though It's extremely light, to play It safe, add anything of equal weight.

I have no Idea who the seller Is, hence I can't comment how the return will be processed.

I found some metal sheets, I'll put some behind the shock guards in the circular box to match the weight.

Okay, from your personal experience, has it ever happened that a seller (other than amazon or apple) opens a perfectly sealed product just to see what is inside?

in the termes there is what is written : "CONDITIONS OF RETURN: Unopened packaging, unused object, intact product, that is to say "NEW". Items that do not meet these criteria cannot be accepted and will be returned at the customer's expense."

If they want it at all cost unopen they wont open it to check if its inside right?

As with all methods, the sealed box Is not 100% fail-safe.

You cannot ensure the return will not be opened.

Put simply, It says that goods must be returned In their original state and will only be accepted as such.

Whether or not they're opened, remains to be seen.

Assuming you said the entire CPU package was missing, how can the carrier driver be responsible for missing goods due to a warehouse error?

I understand that, but what I don't comprehend, Is why the carrier Is liable for receiving a package without Its contents - of which they did their job by ensuring It was delivered to the correct address.
