I intend to purchase 2 identical items costing 2000 each. The package would be delivered to a different address where someone else at a front desk would likely have to sign for it.

After arriving, I would contact to say I paid for two but only one was in the box.

Attempt to resolve with Amazon. If no luck, I could attempt to file a charge back?

How likely is it that this would succeed?

What kind of item is it? Weight?
Everything I post here is fictional. Anything mentioned on my posts that corresponds to events that happened in real life is coincidental.

It would be a camera. Heavy enough, medium size box. Maybe 1 - 2lbs weight.

I could buy from Amazon direct or renewed from third party. Is one better than the other?

It's too heavy of an item to say only one was in the box instead of 2.

Not likely at all, for the fact that you have no evidence In support of your claim.
