Should I wait the refund before using the product that requires connexion ? 09-14-2022, 03:41 PM

Hi all, i'm currently trying my first "real" SE today. By this I mean I've been doing DNA method on Amazon for years without knowing about the SE scene, I just do it everytime they leave the package in front of my door, bc it's common in my building that packages get stolen when they are just left like that. It was always for cheap items of less than 100€ though, and always just an easy 5mn call, they tell me to wait 2 days for investigation then i call 2 days after and they instantly refund
ANYWAY, this time i'm trying to do it consciously and for a high value item, in this case a pair of Bang & Olufsen headphones bought for 899€ from their website. I just got it, did a fake signature, and all right.
The plan is to DNA it, but I wonder if it's a good idea that I start to use it now, because to start it the first time i have to download their app and do a full opt-in with my name etc., BUT they talk about a "proactive guarantee" which says that they automatically receive rapports if the headphones have a problem and thus they can proactively contact me in case it happens. It makes me wonder if a DNA method would really work there, because it would mean that they know I'm actually using the headphones. And even if I get a refund and use it after they would notice it right ? Or could I try to claim I am not the guy using it, by creating a new account with fake name and everything ?
Hmm. It's my first serious try, I'm using it to learn and I can afford the loss if ever it fails, though i'd like to know what an experienced SEer would do now.
Thanks for any advice!
(forgot to mention I'm not native english speaker so don't hesitate to tell me if i'm not clear enough)
