I am wondering whether to try say the bottle came half empty or something like that, anyone tried this before?

A half-empty bottle doesn't happen that often. A broken one, on the other hand, happens quite more frequently.
From my own personal experience, that's the way to go with any glass bottle!

would i not have to provide pictures of this broken bottle? and that would ruin the whole fragrance..

Yeah, I have had to provide pictures before. I told them I disgarded a 150£ bottol of whiskey after the receptant of the gift opend it and it was broke. And had leaked. Made up a story that we disgarded it right away. Works everytime.

Probably done x5 Bottols of high end sports and the same amount of perfume

I've done many fragrances but never with Amazon. You can use the broken bottle method on almost every company that sells fragrence.

Haven't had a single failure so far. Some reps were more stubborn than others, but if you keep being patient and polite you'll get it.
Avoid those who arent responsible for the product after it left their warehouse (can be seen in TOS). In this case you would have to deal with the carrier which is sometimes a real pain and lengthy process..

Good to hear, might attempt to score some nice perfume. do you photoshop the bottle? or change the liquid into another container and smash the original, or maybe just say you threw it out?

That's what I do. From then on, I just re-use the same photos over and over when it comes to that specific fragrance/drink
