Sorry mothered ain't been here for a while so missed this, actually my baby son opened the door to the courier, I had to say I didn't know the person and the parcel wasn't for me.... in an ideal world I was thinking ignore the door maybe 2 times and they will leave it outside but I couldn't test that theory because of my son

No as i I didn't have anything to exchange with the driver

No I don't think it's possible unless I used disposed of faulty item and that had never work for me

Is the DNA (yet again) an option under different circumstances, such as purely fake signing the delivery?

I do not believe that would be possible unless you could talk the driver into coming back for the faulty item another day as its a swap / exchange for the faulty unit on delivery

Yes, It can be done If you've planned the SE from the beginning by using a drop as the delivery address to accept the replacement.

The driver can come back another day (for the exchange) to a vacant home, which has no association to you.
