''B&H will not be responsible for any consequential or incidental damage resulting from the sale or use of any merchandise purchased from us. B&H's liability is limited to the monetary value of the merchandise.''
That's a disclaimer for personal Injury claims and the like - they're releasing themselves from liability.

Someone I know who does a lot of SE was able to make it work using FTID on B&HPhoto. He said he was able to hit up to 5000$ just with FTID. I know you are not a fan of the method @mothered but I think it is still worth considering. If not, maybe do LIT?

Be careful, It may come back to bite you at a later time.

They've been many companies who've said they didn't receive the return, and then rebilled the account.

Looks like B&H haven't stocked the item yet. It is currently only available for pre-order.

I was considering ONESTOP-DIGITAL, here's their warranty and return policy :

Quote:If the product is delivered damaged, you are also required to inform us within 5 days of receiving your order. After this 5 days period, we cannot be held responsible for any damages to the product.

Product can only be returned if in original manufacturer's packaging, same condition as sold, with all documentation and blank warranty cards (if any). Please do not place stickers or shipping labels on the original manufacturer's package.

Upon receiving your returned order, we will inspect the faulty product. We will then provide you with a replacement if our techincal staff approves that the product does indeed carry a manufacturer's fault. We will also reimburse your shipping costs if the product is found to be faulty.

If our techincal staff does not agree with your claim and the product functions normally, we will return the item upon receiving from you a postage cost.

They do NOT take responsability if the item is DNA. Thus, that is not an option. I'm thinking about claiming damaged item. However, here are my concerns :

1) I'm anticipating that they might ask for more than 1 picture. Probably 2-3 pictures of the camera itself (thinking about photoshopping broken lens) and 2-3 pictures showing the damaged box. This would ensure they have it from all angles and also verify they're legitimate.

2) Since they ask that the damaged item be returned, how should I proceed? I was thinking about doing FTID or LIT, seems like the only reasonable solution.

Need your knowledge and expertise @mothered Smile

Thank you

Photos are absolutely no cause for concern - as said, simply Photoshop It.

Don't take photos of every angle. Only provide Images as Instructed.

Is the camera the same description as per this thread's title?

If so, the weight should be 240 grams. Please confirm.

At 240 grams, It's pretty light, so you can box the return.

Only a minimal amount of dry Ice will be required and as such, the sublimation time Is easy to calculate.
