I think is very weird for couriers charging they employees for every lost package, i don't see that impossible to be honest, but weird and inmoral too

As mothered already mentioned, not every courier BUT every courier in my Country. I don't know if it's the same in Germany since we have pretty much the same laws.
I don't know about you guys but for me it doesn't feel right, that's why i will only use EB from now on. I got older and realized that not everyone deserves to be fucked :b

I waited downstairs and tried to push him to check my identity. And then I started the discussion. This is what he told me:

1. An undelivered package is very serious.
2. It can go far as a lifetime ban from the company.
3. Sometimes yes, they have to refund the package so they don't get the blame.
4. So bad, it has happened that he fights to "defend his delivery". (Once a guy wanted to tell him it was for him but it was wrong. He wanted to steal the package).

I've lost a small package and my boss gave me a paper to fill out to explain what happened, at the bottom there was a note saying

Parcel worth under 50€ please admonish driver

means if its under 50€ probably the company itself pays for it.

but same mon frere, im done with DNA. cant sleep in peace if i fck up poor drivers who're just trying to do their job

Quite the contrary In my locality - drivers are not reprimanded nor punished In any way for missing packages.

That aside, good work with getting the Info from the driver.

What do you guys think about this, is it really ok to do all the SEing and let minimal salary workers pay for it ?

What you're referring to applies to General Logistics Systems, and not each and every other major carrier service.

You're actually coping man, this is the same for many many couriers I've asked so many. my friend ships thousands and thousands and has courier buddies, he's asked and DPD, hermes and a few others tell you either you get fired or pay it yourself.

So your friend speaks for each and every logistics and freight distribution company, "globally?"

It barely covers 2% of carrier services. Without naming specifics, I have many contacts In transportation worldwide, and have never been Informed of a DPD/Hermes driver losing his job over a one-off Incident for failing to deliver a given package/pallet/skid or otherwise.

Use some logic and common sense. There are thousands of DNA's hit daily and If what you're saying Is true to Its word, there wouldn't be a single driver on the road.
