Hey everyone, just got back from holiday and I have a delivery of trainers coming from Nike on Monday.

I have recently done a DNA on them so was thinking of returning the wrong shoes and saying the reason for return was I no longer want them. Has anyone had success with this in the UK?

I'm located in EU and I think it has a high chance to work in my case because in the past I've returned clothes and shoes in literally dogshit condition (stains, dirt etc) and I always got full refund on orders.
With Nike what you need to check/try to research is if the company Nike is outsourcing returns to (in your country) meticulously checks items that are being returned by customers.

Sounds good doing it that way, it may be worth me trying it with a t shirt or something on a new account to see if it works first and how meticulous they are with checking the returns at the company they are using for returns

I think a problem I may have is that they are “Nike by you” so they’re a custom colour design, although I still chose the colour design from their website as it was a preset.

Maybe they would be more aware, especially if they come in a different box as they’re a more premium shoe?

Will have to assess once they have arrived.

Hopefully they know no better and it’d be a sleepy warehouse worker just processing the returns after seeing shoes in the box lol.

Would you recommend the reason for return no longer wanted or wrong item received? I haven’t got a shoe from their stock to return as wrong item so I’d imagine if they were to look into it with a shoe not out of their stock, it would cause investigation?

They're both much of a muchness.

Would you say they’re similar in the way they would process that the return has been received though?

E.g the person processing the returns would be more inclined to check the wrong item received and cross check the shoe was the correct one.

As opposed to them seeing “no longer wanted” ticked on the returns form and seeing shoes and being happy with it, or would that be up to Nike warehouse to cross check that upon returns to them from 3rd party returns company?

Suppose it’s impossible to know as it’s their procedures lol. I should have really done a test run but been out the country for a couple weeks

That's precisely the Issue - processing the return.

It will need to be placed back Into stock, hence they can well and truly Identify It's not part of their Inventory.

Could this work if buying a pair of Nike trainers from a store and placing them in the box instead? Rather than doing it online. Or would they register them as not from their online stock somehow?

It will be part of the In-store's Inventory, and not the online store.

I have got ftidna orders for Nike in the USA and seems to be working because i still getting orders, good luck with UK
