It's too much of a variance.

On the site it says it’s the same package but the way the company labels the weight of the box is the issue

Other option is I can say manufacture error and got sent different lens made from Sony when I opened the box?

UPDATE

Ended up saying wrong lens sent and got told to send the item back for a for full refund. I had canon lens already and got better canon lens. got screenshots saying they will refund wrong item when received at warehouse

Do the lenses contain glass? I would just smash the shit out of a cheap lense and take some photos. Stamp on the box of the new lense and place it inside it with broken glass. Take a picture and ask them what the safest way to rerurn the broken Glass lense?

They will tell you to dispose and offer you a replacement. Tell them you needed it for a wedding photo shoot the next day and now you will have to go to the local photography shop to buy one as amazon won't be able to deliver it on time

UPDATE::

Sent back wrong item inside box. Amazon said it will take three weeks for them to process order. I waited a week and a half and they told me I had to do an investigation report through email.
Through chat I kept asking for my money back and that they said after I send the wrong item back that they would give my refund. They kept insisting they have to investigate. I escalated to a manager and told them I want my money back and If I didn’t get it back I will then call my bank and do a chargeback for wrong item received than they said they will process the refund!!!

Said this was a one time exception since they got the wrong item back at their warehouse

They said I had to do a in incident report after they got the return of the wrong product and had to look into this . I did the incident report and told the agent i wanted my money back now and he ended up giving me the refund
