A high value Item will most likely require an OTP on delivery, which you'd obviously want to avoid.

every driver of the postal companies has to take a signature from you, if they let the parcel in front of your door they will sign it instead of you and just write the first letters of your surname or whatever. everyone is always in a hurry and wants to end his tour so they dont like waiting for u to come out or to take the signature since it costs a lot of time.
If you are a courier, you can try do RTS. In your place, I would hire myself to dhl or ups because Amazon uses these two

Return to sender, where the delivery guy marks the package as not delivered for that very reason while, of course, giving it to you
Or, rather, there are "insiders" that mark the package as such after the delivery

you were right.. i will recieve my tablet today but the app shows me i will have to give the driver a OTP xd
first time they did this, amazon is getting better i guess..
so only thing i can do now is hope that he puts it in front of the door and leaves without asking for OTP right ?

Given an OTP has been assigned to your delivery, It's very unlikely the driver will leave the package unattended at your doorstep.

DNA doesn't work with OTP.
Sealed box, boxing, EB, wrong item etc...
