Like your said it's blatantly obvious there's fraudulent intent, why let yourself get caught up on camera too?
Absolutely.
Let the boxer take the direct hit.

Not sure about this - but somewhere I had heard that Commercial Cam Recordings get over written every 2 weeks. If that is truly the case, just do the claim after 14 days of dropping the label.

I don't think this is true. The particular case I'm talking about took about 3 weeks to get delivered so the claim was made about a month later.

Most commercial recordings either don’t exist (inactive cameras) or get overwritten every 2 weeks if the business is using on premises storage, every month if using a cloud solution. That is the norm, doesn’t mean there aren’t exceptions. You would be surprised how little care is given to security cameras.

The camera system at my business for instance overwrites every 2 weeks - had heard the same when an accident victim wanted to inquire with the plaza about security footage - landlords office said the same.

Hmm I'll confirm today when I'm in to see how it works where I am.

A local Lidl store says they overwrite every single night, found out when a friend got his car damaged in their parking lot and he only had until the end of the day to get a PR filed so they could legally access and view the recordings, or they would've been gone

That's based on your locality and certain entities.
It's not possible to speak for each and every region/country and Industry. Where I reside, footage Is overwritten every few days, weeks or months - all depending on one's circumstances and needs.

Yup 2 weeks is what I was told. That's crazy given some of our biggest business partners.
