Target apple watch SE 06-17-2022, 04:33 PM
#1
I've tried to EB an apple watch from target. They denied my initial claim on grounds of the weight of the package being consistent with me receiving the full item (I doubt there's a way they can actually confirm this down to the gram).
I have had the case escalated as high as possible and spoken to about 10 people on the phone. They have all said they would help if they could but their internal resolution team has locked the case and no other resolution is possible from anyone there.
The most senior person I talked to felt bad and the only thing he recommended is to dispute the charge with my card, as I did not receive the complete item that I paid for. I was wondering if this would be a good idea as it's my last hope. Would I have the grounds to dispute the charge?

Ask them to provide evidence In support of their statement above.
Also, did you mention anything about the condition of the package?
I have asked 10+ people for evidence, they said they don't have anything they can send me as it was all conducted by the internal investigation team and the case is now closed. I have tried escalating it many times, no one has access to this information.
They asked me if the package was open or damaged, I said it was unopened and not damaged when it arrived, just that the Watch was missing from the box it came in.
Hi there. I have dealt with the same thing, through another company, and in the end I won. This will take some perseverance, and you may have to go through your bank (you will win because they cant prove the weight) these companies go by the shipping (dimentional) weight instead of the weight of the product and screw up your claim. If you have pictures of the empty box send those to your bank and Target themselves. Also as a little tip EB with target works best when using the same day delivery option (Shipt is who they use for that) and all they do is pick up from the store and drive it to you, so no kind of weight whatsoever is recorded. Also driver won't get in trouble because they'll assume it came to Targets warehouse like that. Hope that helps.
Oh and another thing, if you go through your bank or what not, make sure to stress that the item itself was not in the package, because sometimes these claim reps for banks might deny the claim because the company in question said it was delivered which has nothing to due with your claim. So again stress to your bank that the item itself was not in the package and make sure they make note of that.

Got too many methods, I don't know which one to use today.
