VCCs not working for certain store websites #1
Does anyone else have a problem with VCCs (I use Revolut) not working on certain websites, like Bloomingdale's for example? I've tried different devices, turned on and off VPN, different wifi, and essentially every identifiable feature. Some stores just won't accept VCCs. Does anyone know how to bypass this?

Thanks

Which VCC providers have you tried thus far?

What exactly did you experience when trying to use each VCC?

Also, have you tried this provider?

Yes, I've used Privacy but they ended up closing my account. Every time I tried using a VCC on a store like Ralph Lauren, for example, the card would not go through. There is sufficient balance on the card. On the site it would say, "Card is invalid", without really giving me any details. On Sephora, it said "Unsuccessful Authorization". I've called customer service to see what was going on but they said they couldn't give me the details besides that name doesn't match credit card. :/ I'm stuck.

Doesn't it not matter what the name is when you use a VCC? I don't use my real name at all when filling out my billing info.

There's a mismatch of credentials with the VCC, online account and/or your billing Information, which Is why the transaction will not go through.

It's a security measure to ensure there's no fraudulent Intent/unauthorized transactions.

@prettyandall Did you get a solution to this problem? I'm in the same boat and I still can't find a solution

@mothered. Is it true that the merchant does not know who owns the VCC? Thus, it should be enough if I make sure when ordering that the first and last name is the same as registered in the customer account?
