Just an update of my personal experience with this. I contacted them saying EB the day it arrived, got told it would be looked into and was just being delayed and told that an investigation would take place.

About a week after hearing nothing other than the word “investigation”. I got in touch asking for updates, they said they are continuing to investigate but they do not want me waiting any longer and will process the refund/replacement now and asked what I would like, I asked for a refund.

Should hopefully be processed soon.

I wouldn’t worry at all. I got an email saying an investigation but just got contacted saying they don’t want to keep me waiting and have issued me a refund. Easy peasy

Why risk it when you can checkout twice as a guest?

Got my refund now used rma as reason but don't need to return goods obviously...

Still haven't turned it on il be waiting a month or 2 atleast and will make a new account looking at these replies here about locking 😱

I just got refund with EB and I got sent a RMA email with the serial number. Does that mean that I can’t use the device online?

I don't know i bought the 128 legit in December so I haven't had the need to turn it on.. I won't test it for a while myself

Finally got the long-awaited "would you like a refund or a replacement?" email, after one full week!
They wrote "Meanwhile, we will check further", which I consider the most suspect part of their mail.
