Wanting to sealed box an RTX3090 graphics card from amazon, around $2800aud, using my account without a refund ever which I should have a great account standing currently.

I'll lay out the plan and if anyone sees any possible failures pls advise me on a better way.
- Purchase 3090 and also any similar (but cheap) card from anywhere. To be fairly similar size and weight.
- Weigh the 3090 box, take GPU out of box and plastic covering, place cheap card into the plastic wrapping and back into the 3090 box.
- Determine the weight difference and find a place to put weight balancing item (maybe a small plate of steel under the GPU in the pocket it sits in).
- Ensure nothing rattles or moves around in box. Close box and place the seal sticker back on. Send back item for a change of mind refund.

Now my main cause of concern is that they fully take out the graphics card and look at it properly. Do they do this, or are they likely to see its the same weight and not open it up?
Any advice or help appreciated.
Cheers.

Amazon has started to open sealed box returns at random, so the possibility exists, but It's not a certainty.

Does it seem worth trying to you or shall I use another method?
I think it may be too expensive to DNA?

There is no limit with DNA. But usually if the item is expansive, you're requested to sign some documents and / or PR.

Given the value of the Item and the probability of failure, I'd personally opt for another method.

You're purely claiming nonreceipt of goods, hence the cost Is Immaterial.

What's of concern, Is whether an OTP will be required on delivery.

Yeah that's more what I mean, there will likely be OTP or at least more effort to ensure I am the one receiving the goods.

Do you think DNA is a good approach? I have no issues filing a PR if I have to.

If you're confident In circumventing an OTP, by all means hit the DNA.

Other delivery verifications are useless, so there's no cause for concern.
