Hi, I live in the UK and am super new to SE.
I would like to SE a Laptop (£700/1000) and was wondering what would be the best method (leaking battery?)

If you have an aged account with many orders you may be able to simply DNA it (did not arrive). Just don't sign for it with your signature and name (random squiggle and name), and try to avoid a photo with any recognisable part of you in it. Tell them you were home and you were notified it was delivered but you checked and the parcel was nowhere to be seen.
If using a not so aged account you can try an advanced FTID method that I see having success on amazon right now, although lots of people here seem to be against it due to higher risk so I don't advise it as much. I have a PDF of the latest FTID method that people in the UK seem to be using that I can send you the link to you via dm.

The DNA Is the obvious choice, but find out If an OTP will be required on delivery.

Incorporate It Into the disposed of the faulty Item method, by saying you threw It out for health & safety concerns.
Alternatively, both the wrong Item received and the sealed box method are well suited.
