Se'ing a GPU #1
I am in the UK and wanting a new GPU.

I have received a single warning before on Amazon about amount of refunds on account but have made a couple purchases since, no refunds. This has kinda made me a bit wary on touching Amazon so I was wondering if there are any other UK based companies that are relatively easy to DNA as that is my preferred method of dealing with it, I haven't really tried any other methods yet.

Thanks!

  • Ebuyer.com
  • Overclockers.co.uk
  • Scan.co.uk

They all have CCTV cameras In place, but It obviously won't affect the DNA. I haven't checked their carriers as of late, so be sure to see what type of verification Is required on delivery.

Just looking at what I have found, I know Scan use DPD and OCUK seem to use DPD too, cannot seem to find anything on ebuyer yet, will keep looking. Would prefer to avoid DPD as I am used to them being very by-the-book on deliveries in my area.

EDIT: Just by reading around on reddit, have discovered that ebuyer use both DPD and Yodel, think it depends on which shipping option you choose, will try here, Yodel is notoriously shit.

DPD tends to take photos every now and then and If It's the case with your consignment, It can easily be circumvented.

If only a signature Is required, well, that pretty much speaks for Itself.

Been quite a while but I eventually just aged and hit Amazon.com for a GPU. Was planning on purchasing a UPS scan manipulation but the parcel got delivered by another courier. Got delivered last Friday and got told to wait until today to get in touch.

I loaded up chat, was very nice to my Amazon CS rep and after about 10 minutes and claiming DNA, I get a $1.3k refund for a GPU. Got to say, I am quite surprised, not even a police report needed. This has to be the easiest one I have done yet.

This was on my main amazon account which is normally a UK account but I made a few orders on .com and then did it on there, if that makes sense.

It's not very often at all, that an Investigation Is not opened for nonreceipt of goods and a PR Isn't requested - particularly for the said Item value.

The main thing Is It worked.
