[Success] EB method for jewels by Stroili 05-15-2022, 11:18 PM

Hi everyone! I'd love to share my success story on using the EB method for getting a 300€ refund on a pair of earrings (weighing less than 20 grams) bought on stroilioro.com, a website that I still haven't seen mentioned in this forum.
They only ship to Italy but hey, some Italians might find this useful
I ordered the earrings a little more than a week before Xmas, as they were ensuring delivery before the holidays. As soon as I received the parcel, I contacted them via chat on the website itself stating that it only contained a piece of crumpled paper (which actually was in the parcel in order to prevent the jewel box from moving around too much during the travel), adding various lines about how displeased I was (it had to be a gift for Xmas and there wasn't enough time to fix this inconvenience anymore!).
They asked for a photo of the parcel: I took one and sent it over. Then the customer service girl told me to wait for an email in the coming days.
I finally received it a couple of days after Xmas: they were telling how sorry they were etc. and gave me a link to a website that deals with their customer complaints, asking me to file one over there. There was a problem though: that website was buggish as hell and didn't accept any of the credentials I was asked for.
I thus went back to Stroili's chat and another agent told me she could open such a file for me, easy peasy. I told her every bit of info she asked for (name, address, order number...) and, when asked if I would like to go for a refund or a reshipping, I just told her I wanted a refund (because Xmas was over already and I was forced to get another gift from a physical shop). I gave her my IBAN and she said I should be receiving another email in a couple of days.
As foretold, I received said email which simply stated my complaint had been correctly received and that I'd be notified about the refund.
I finally got that 1 month later, with an email excuse about the delay (due to having had to process a lot of refunds during the holidays).
And so ends the story about how I got a happy wife and happy wallet too
