Some Amazon accounts restored #1
So clearly today I had too much free time on my hands so I went on the hunt to restoring some accounts. I got 3 back today

They were all disabled for various reasons - 1 for going against the terms and conditions (never actually specified what but I suspect they linked it to another account that was disabled), 1 for not having the billing details of an ancient card, and 1 for random payment issues (orders cancelling right away). I don't plan on using these accounts but it was a cool experiment.

Would y'all be interested in a service like this?

Impressive, would definitely be interested in a service like this as my main account is locked and after attempting to get back in several times I gave up. Would very much like to get back into it though.
I am but a simple gnome who likes free things, none of this is real. It is all simply fiction.

If it's an account verification type issue, should be easy but if it's something more serious it might be hard. Did they tell you why they locked it? I know they don't or they'll be extremely vague at times.

I had a friend let me use his card to make a purchase on the account as he did not have an account, so I made some purchases for him and they were requesting proof of ownership of card or something, so I sent them that and they kept rejecting it, likely because of different name and whenever I go to log in now it just says:

"More Information Required
The information you supplied was reviewed by Amazon but we cannot remove the hold on your account at this time. For details, check for an email or text message from Amazon describing next steps. Please contact us for further support."

This is a new message so I will get in touch.

To make it clearer, these are the emails I was receiving beforehand:

"Hello,

Thank you for your response. We have reviewed the information you provided but we were unable to verify ownership of your master card payment ending in 09 because document does not verify card holder. Your account is still temporarily on hold.

You can resolve the issue by signing in to your Amazon account again and following the on-screen instructions.

When uploading a document to verify ownership of a payment method, be sure that the name, address, payment type, and relevant transaction information are clearly visible. For your security, only display the final 4 digits of the payment method number.

Please share your information promptly so that we can verify the payment and restore full access to your account as soon as possible.

Sincerely,"

And my latest email received last month for that account which I only just noticed says:

"Hello,

We have detected unusual activity on your Amazon account, so we have placed it on hold temporarily and canceled any pending orders, subscriptions, or gift card balance.

To restore access to your account, sign in on Amazon.co.uk and follow on-screen instructions. Once you have provided the required information, we will review it and respond within 24 hours.

When uploading a document to verify ownership of a payment method, be sure that the name, address, payment type, and relevant transaction information are clearly visible. For your security, only display the final 4 digits of the payment method number.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused."

But then when I go to log in it just says the first "More Information Required" message and does not let me fill in anything.

You'll see that this is the exact same as #2, maybe the go to message for the kind of issue, it was a failure to provide docs for an old card again*

Honestly that doesn't look too bad. It's not even like they closed the account for too many refunds or anything. 1 thing I noticed is they now send this which is a really good sign because I've never gotten prior to yesterday trying to recover accounts

It's a good sign because I know for sure co.uk is doing reviews

Congrats on all the account unlocks, impressive. I emailed Jeff@Amazon.com and also the customer service email.

I got emailed within 5 minutes of emailing the customer service email saying I need to follow on screen instructions when I log in but my on screen instructions are to reach out and contact them so I’m lost

Can you screenshot the login screen? I think I've seen it before, where it's just upload X and X but no drop down or box to submit right?
