Logitech experience with POP #1
Hi guys, I am trying the serial method number with a Logitech product. They now asked me for a proof of purchase. Should I modify one and send it or should I send a corrupted file in case they check? What is your experience when they ask the POP?
Thanks for your help

Both methods should work well, but the corrupted file method will be a long progress until you get your SE done.
The POP can be checked via Logitech.
If you are searching an S/N on selling sites like eBay or Craigslist you can ask the seller for an invoice (it will be a lot easier to do then)
It's nothing personal, it's all about business

They'll cross-check the POP.

As mentioned, use the corrupted file method.

What I tried was receiptmansion.com, they make great fake invoices. I sent them my fake invoice and they didn't turn much attention to it. Last reply from them was them asking my personal info and then asking what was the color of the mouse. Answered to both of these questions and now I'm waiting for response.

Nothing yet, I went for the corrupted file method and it is kind of working, in the sense that l after asking few times to send it again, now they are not asking anymore but I don't have any confirmation of the SE being finished yet.
Also, I see another problem: the keyboard I am SEing didn't really have batteries or things that may justify why I should dispose of it, hence if they ask me to send it back, I will be stuck, but I was aware of this and my only real aim for this is to gain experience and see what kind of questions they ask and how their communication is.
The way I see it in the best case I have a keyboard and experience, in the worst, only experience.

I will update you as soon as I have news about it Biggrin

Update: Replacement accepted! It was a process that went on for more than a month!
So they were insisting on getting a POP and a picture of the serial number. We went on for 6-7 emails with corrupted files, then I sent a POP made via receipt mansion but did not send any serial number, which I kept sending as a corrupted file.
In the end, it got accepted after I complained a bit about the process, but they still required a valid serial number, which they now requested also in text form: that's when I eventually sent the one I had, and today I finally got the email that said that my replacement had been accepted.

Thanks to @mothered and @nephele for your support

You're most welcome, but you're the one who did all the hard work to ensure a successful outcome.
