Question about the smashed bottle method #1
So I have some empty aftershave bottles that I plan on using for the smashed bottle method. I am just wondering, is it likely that they bring it up with the courier? I was planning on ordering the aftershaves from every site that stock them, but I am just worried that each store will contact the couriers and if I use the same courier multiple times, they may get suspicious about the same complaint from different stores?

Extremely unlikely.

The bottle could've broken at any point, even when picked, packed and handled by the company's warehouse team.

Okay, so the first order arrived, I sent them photos of the smashed bottles like they asked, along with the boxes etc. They then said that the evidence does not correlate with how they imagined it to look, so can't assist me any further. Not too sure what to do now, I asked them to escalate the situation with their manager.

"Imagined It to look?". Evidence Is not based on one's Imagination.

A very poor response, that doesn't go Into any detail whatsoever. They could've lied and made the whole thing up. Ask them to "specifically" explain why they've deemed the evidence Insufficient/Inadequate.

They are now telling me that it left their warehouse in normal condition, so I said to them to send me some proof. They also said if it arrived to RM in a bad condition they would have sent it in a damage bag, or with a disclaimer, which I am not sure how RM would have noticed the smashed bottles, if it happened in the warehouse when picking and packing my order, as the outer packaging would have been fine in that circumstance.

They're not exercising common sense.

The bottle Is susceptible to breakage while In transit. Anyone with half a brain can figure that out.

No need.

Just because It was In perfect condition when dispatched, by no means does It suggest the goods arrived at your premises unscathed.

How Is RM supposed to Identify a broken bottle that's fully enclosed In a package, hence cannot be viewed externally?

I'd be hitting them with everything I've mentioned.

Sorry for the long reply, I have said all of this in an email to them now, waiting for their response, if they don't budge, I will try to find a managers email address or something to email instead, as I have been stuck with a really stubborn CS rep, who said I can't escalate as they are the team leader.

Also, just wondering because I had multiple orders arrive today, I pushed it with a few orders and ordered 3 bottles, could i smash one and get the one refunded and send the other 2 back for a return?
