Refunded - Asked to return 03-27-2022, 07:54 AM

Hello,
First time in a situation like this - i have an idea of how to take them on however your advises and tips would be appreciated. After a successful FTID that was sitting for a month before making the claim, the refund got issued. An email came through saying their Returns Department advised them that they received "wrong mailing label item" and requested to send the right item in.
Now, the way they worded it ... doesn't look like they have any detailed information and I believe they are solely suspicious - a lot of people hit them this way after all. Their email got a response, answering that the correct item had been shipped back.
Normally as per policy upon delivery they should automatically refund within 5 days, but there had been no contact until a month after. A boxer was used. To prepare a defense could someone elaborate on how an edited label works ? I believe it only consists of the tracking number or irrelevant info that can't be linked to the order. If so, due to the time gap and them bringing it up only after contact with their agent who approved the refund it would be easy to logically confuse them if they acted solely on suspicion.
If that is not the case and they have rock solid proof - since the refund was already issued, if they rebill the answer to that will be a bank chargeback. Before it comes to that, any suggestions on how to prevent them from rebilling without having to close the account ?
