Anyway, I ended up ordering it from another shop, paid via Paypal
It hasn't shipped yet, my plan for whenever it arrives is to open the condo main door that leads into the staircase WITHOUT answering the doorbell, so it could've been opened by literally anyone else and I've got an alibi in case someone claims I received it (obviously not planning on signing it or anything but that's usually not needed lately)

Worst case scenario, Paypal as a backup

Haven't signed a package in years so I doubt they'll reschedule, and since they'll notice the door opening after ringing the doorbell they might just think I'm home (though I'll claim I was at work when SEing the CS) and drop it as usual
If it's the courier I'm thinking of, he even left a couple thousand euros worth of items once, and I wasn't even home for real that time, so it shouldn't be a problem

Package arrived before the weekend, waited until Saturday to open a claim so that they wouldn't look into it until today, as planned
Doubt the courier will be able to remember anything about the deliver (which also went as planned) he made almost a week ago, so I don't think they'll be able to claim anything about the package being actually delivered to me

I also doubt It.

Depending on the company, carrier drivers deliver anywhere from 150 to 300 packages per day. Good luck trying to recall each consignment.

So, I'm still waiting for a closure to this, they asked me to send a signed paper with a claim that I did not recognize the signature on the package (made by the courier himself) along with a photo of my ID card and I complied

Now the courier is pestering me saying he's in trouble, that he's gonna pay me for the lost package and everything, and I told him not to worry since I'm hopefully getting a refund from the company, he shouldn't worry as it's not his fault the package got stolen, he did perfectly remember that the door opened after he rang despite nobody answering so there's that

Not sure how it's gonna go from here, I sure feel sorry for the guy but it's too late to back out now, hopefully he won't hold too much of a grudge since he's still the one that services my area for that particular courier company
