Hello Everyone.

I just placed an order for air pods pro and a decoy item (small vape stick). They have given me OTP or sign for delivery.

I need help to which method I should use. Most likely I will say that only the vape was in the box and air pods not.

This is on an amazon account with loads of purchase history and no refunds as of yet.

Is the replacement item of close enough weight to the airpods? And did you pay attention to buy it from Amazon on a different account?

Well I ordered both the items fulfilled by amazon prime and sold by amazon. On the same account and they will be in the same box. Yes that vape should be close enough to the air pods which don't weigh much at all.

So what to do if they make me give OTP?

When your account and thus your purchase history is checked, they will see that you have purchased the supposedly wrongly received item and connect the dots. What happens next is obvious.

I don't think an OTP will affect an SE with the wrong item method.

I advice using the empty box method.

You can do both, personally I would go with the partial to not raise suspicion and make them think it was a problem in the warehouse, so they don't start a carrier investigation. 
If you somehow manage to bypass the OTP you can DNA as well. I've done airpods a couple of times on aged accounts and all I got was a 2 days investigation, both times the package was left outside the door so they refunded.

No sorry, I thought that you wanted to use the wrong item method my bad. I believe a partial could work, wait for mothered's reply he'll give you a better answer.

With airpods the EB method is most often the best since it has a high success rate, you claim that the apple box was missing of the airpods and the charging case.

For future reference, John Lewis Is very difficult to deal with when using the EB/missing Item method - they thoroughly check each claim.

They also have CCTV cameras actively monitoring their movement of stock.

I wish i knew before ;( Btw i need some help. My order has been split into 2 deliveries. Im pretty sure im gonna have to give the OTP.

Should i say air pods case missing from box or dna??
