I thought this could be circumvented by simply timing the disappearing ink, by for example handing in the parcel at a Friday evening so the ink disappears during the weekend when there is nobody to watch it?
Yes, the timing of the disappearing Ink Is the key to the LIT's success.

My post Is based on the Ink prematurely fading due to a miscalculation on the SE'ers end.

You print the label with disappearing ink, you'd need a special printer for that though

As stated above, the label Is printed with the disappearing Ink - with the objective of prematurely fading and rendering It an unidentified consignment.

The problem Is, It may fade to some degree (for example) at the time of storage at the carrier's depot, thereby the label will be reprinted according to the details listed on the manifest.

After how many hours does the ink have to start disappearing to be successful?

You'd need to calculate the transit and storage time.

Do you know if this special ink work with a normal printer or it needs a special dedicated printer?

You'd need a printer that you can load our own ink in, you can't just use one with standard cartdriges, probably one with an external tank would do the trick

You can fill Ink cartridges with the disappearing Ink.

Much the same as refilling the normal cartridges.

But you need non used cartridge to refill it by disappearing ink. There are special printers of epson and canon with empty tanks for the ink. After unpacking, you can fill all fours tanks with inks attached.
