Your edit was at the same time of writing my post.

What was the company's response when you requested an update on your claim?

I didn't request any update at time because I was scared to fail the refund, so I did a legit ref.
What could have happened? And What should I have done in your opinion? I am still a noob  xD

Sad to hear about your SE failing.
If you are in need of a reliable refunder I hope you'll consider me for your future endeavors.

Best of luck to you.

I had a bad experience with LIT. The courier to whom I delivered the package with LIT method took charge of the package and did nothing from there. Tracking has never progressed from that day.
What did you think happened?

Your lit was successful. I've done countless refunds when that happened. Tracking is not progressing - you contact the carrier because you noticed tracking isn't moving - they'll tell you they cant locate the parcel and you should contact the company that paid for the return label. You will be provided with a claim number. Then you contact the company, explain the situation and give them the claim number. They carry out an investigation with the carrier and in a few days you'll be refunded. Easy ! Once and only once, the company refused to issue the refund and the situation was the same. Tracking stopped moving, however when they investigated they reasoned that the carrier notified them that the parcel was empty. I simply told them thats not true and its a carriers responsibility to deliver the parcel to you empty or not. Why havent they delivered it to you ? Bla Bla and they issued the refund right after. Dont scare yourself. My advise is, when you SE put any feeling of guilt aside and pretend you actually returned those items and they are lost somewhere ;-)

Or could I simply redrop the box? And after it's lost in transit I chat with the store. What do you think?

No need to do anything else, from what understood you still haven't contacted the company. Contact them now and say what I suggested above.

Make sure tracking at least processed your item - if it just says "label created" then you need to redrop.

I thought this could be circumvented by simply timing the disappearing ink, by for example handing in the parcel at a Friday evening so the ink disappears during the weekend when there is nobody to watch it?
