It arrived today and was signature required, however it was just handed over to my house mate as she conveniently pulled up out the front while he was waiting at the door, hoping its still possible to do DNA as there was no proof of address or signature taken

If It was purely handed over without a signature nor any photos taken, It's perfect to hit the DNA.

Anyone could've accepted the package - the driver neglected to personally pass It onto the respective recipient.

Yes, contact them the next day.

Although you've received the said delivery confirmation, as far as you're concerned, you're still waiting for the package to arrive, so getting In touch with the company the following day makes perfect sense.

Called today, driver put in the system "left at door" even though it required signature, investigation has been triggered and i should have result within a week, bit nervous however will keep you updated

There's no cause for concern - the driver should've done his job by obtaining a signature, hence the carrier company neglected to follow protocol.

As It stands, It was left unattended at the doorstep, which Is perfect DNA material.

Everything is looking good so far has been quite a long process with a few phone calls however today i was told they're nearly at the end of the investigation process in which a refund will be issued either Friday or Monday next week taking so long due to the high value of the item (3.5k)
