Given you've purely activated It with your IPhone, I don't see how they can remotely Identify the activation via the cell phone's service.

Are you planning to falsify the PR?

I’m planning to report it for real.

I don’t know, they have the box so they might check the activation date of the Apple Watch? I don’t know how much the reseller can check….

Wise choice.

I always recommend to never falsify a police report.

To the best of my knowledge, I don't believe they can check the actual activation date Itself.

Recently I’ve received an Apple Watch box without the apple watch inside, if you know what I mean.

I’ve contacted the seller (not Apple nor Amazon) and I’ve sent back the empty box,. They were very surprised but eager to help me out e.g. refunding me. In the proces of sending the watch back, I’ve activated it and started to use it.

I’m now still waiting to receive my refund. Was
it a foolish move to activite the watch while sending the box back, hence waiting for the refund?

Kind regards
Jesper.

Basically, anybody can check serial Details on apple website. once you activate it , website shows that date as Warranty start date. I hope this sellers dont check it. Be wise next time Smile all the best.

The warranty begins from the date the device was purchased/Invoiced.

If you don't activate It, the warranty still takes effect upon purchase.

Apple's terms can be somewhat confusing, but It Is from the purchase date.

Let's think about It logically. If you don't activate your device for 20 years and a short time after that you decide to do so, Is It still covered by warranty from that date? I'm not targeting this at yourself, but rather demonstrating an analogy for warranty purposes.

Well, checked it myself and now I see the activation date = start of the warranty…

Mothered, can you check your PM when you have some time?

Kind regards

My analogy is, how do apple know the invoice date automatically, because iphones are sold by local stores too. I think the date starts from the day you switch on the mobile.

Seller in my country literally stock the iphones from local distributors, they dont even have a direct contacts to apple nor distributor also after the sell.
