After a successful AirPod Pro refund from Amazon, I am going to try my luck with an Apple Watch from Currys.

After doing some research, I am going to go with missing item manufacturer error as the watch weighs 30.49 grams according to Apples website.

It will be arriving tomorrow and I will be phoning up support once it arrives. I was planning to ring them as I would be able to convey emotion and thought it would be a bit more believable as I checked out as a guest and have no purchase history?

Spoke to Currys live chat. They are going to raise it internally as "LIT" even though I stressed the package did arrive but the watch wasn't inside the box. When I reiterated this he just reassured me that he was raising it as LIT.  The agent said the investigation should take 48 hours to 14 days at max.

In regards to the AirPods, I used missing item.

Go in, buy a watch/airpods, walk out and open the box and put the item in my car, then walk back in saying I just opened it and there is nothing inside?

Going off of Motherd's blog, 48g is fine. 120g is the max for the missing item method.

The rep has no Idea what he's on about - the LIT has no relevance to a missing Item based on receiving a package without the goods.

Hopefully their findings of the Investigation will be applicable.

So i did this with the samsung watch today. Had no trouble, Went on the chat and the agent said he would arrange an exchange for me. DPD are gonna come and get it and he said a refund within 5 days

Sounds good to me then. I'll probably send the charger back as well to be safe and just pick one up off amazon. Is there any chance of an issue at this point?
