Return DNA #1
It seems everytime I use a SN to try and claim something is broken and I want a replacement, they always ask for a return.
For instance
Recently I contacted elgato about a "Broken / not powering on streamdeck'
all was going pretty good but eventually they asked me to return it, I said I had to throw it away due to health and safety, the guy on the phone seemed to believe me and reassured me I could contact CS and see what they could do. But they said they can't do anything without the product sent back. --
"
Unfortunately without ownership of the physical product to send back to use we are not able to process the RMA.

As stated in our warranty information below:

Warranty info for CORSAIR and Elgato Gaming – Elgato

If you throw out, intentionally damage, sell, or give away that product, then the warranty no longer applies.
"
Same happened with an iphone. I went through troubleshooting etc, said the phone was hot to touch and had to throw it away, then they said sorry we cant do anything without you sending it back.
Same with a few others.

How do you go about this? FTID? EB? Dry ice?
If I sent FTID to elgato would they send a replacement when they get the product for RMA or would it be when they see it's sent there?

A streamdeck weighs maybe 400g?

If an Investigation Is opened, It's too heavy for the missing Item method.

If you're opting to box them, you'd need to substitute the weight with dry Ice.

Success with Logitech! They just approved my RMA (used SN method and a lot of complaining and spam about it being broken lol)

Are they not expecting the return?

That's very rare with Logitech. They either request the return, or ask for a POD.

The point Is, the SE succeeded, so well done with that.

In my experience, if you provide a picture with the ticket number and a valid POP, they generally don't ask for a return or POD. If you are SEing mice or keyboards, saying that you don't have any other peripherals to use your PC and having a defective product is better than having nothing, they genrally don't ask for return/POD either
