Hi guys, I was thinking what to do when you wanna SE some product (like arizona, lays etc.) and after all the steps (including giving them product number) they will investigate if this batch was bad. And of course everything will be good. Of course sometimes companies send products immediately but in most cases they investigate. After they say they'll investigate what should SE'er do to just get free products as a compensation?

As per your examples above, since these are companies that usually sell consumables, the disposel of a faulty item is good method to choose.
Tell the company, around 30min after consumption you felt sick and maybe even puked. You could also tell them that the Arizona Ice Tea smelled bad etc.

For consumable products, always address the health aspect as many companies, especially in the food sector, must take this very seriously.

Simply ask to be compensated - due to the traumatic experience you've been through as a direct result of consuming their product.

I've done this countless times without fail.

I actually found out that asking would be very good. I did just that and wait for their respond.

So I asked about respond and I got this as an answer:

"We are working on your complaint and request. Unfortunately, things take a bit more time. I will get back to you when I receive news.
Please bear with us a bit longer."

They want to check it before giving out a compensation.

They first need to go through a few formalities, so their response Is perfectly normal.

With my experience, they sometimes advise me to go back to the shop where I bought the product to complain there.
Well, not with the word "complain", but you get what they're telling me: Why email us instead of getting your money/new product from the place you bough it from?

What would be a good method to eliminate this situation so you still get a replacement from the company itself?

Tell them that the shop/retailer said that given It's a manufacturer warranty, they refused to handle It and advised you to deal directly with the company.

This would be my go-to as well, but does it still stand in 2021 and forward? If I'd buy a bag of Lays today, for example, and they would be absolutely disgusting, I'd go to the grocery store with my receipt and get help that way (I think). Ofc they always wanna know the serialnumbers and what not of the item, sometimes even the name of the store. Idk, maybe I'm thinking too hard about this lol.
