Carrier and distributer liability question #1
If I try to DNA a package from Amazon but dpd liability ends at package delivery, do I still get a refund from Amazon?

Should I look for anything specific in their policies to know more about this?

Essentially, the retailer (In this case, Amazon) Is liable for non-receipt of goods- which Is In compliance with the Consumer Rights Act.

That being said, Amazon Is known to shift the responsibility to their carrier partner and DPD Is difficult to deal with at the best of times, but It should not come to that. You've purchased from the retailer, hence your contract Is with them and not the carrier. If Amazon Insist on contacting DPD, push them to their limit by remaining adamant that It's their responsibility- because It ultimately Is.

Update: I spoke to a rep and asked for a replacement, they were very understanding and forwarded my case to an account specialist who - instead of issuing a replacement, gave me a refund.

I'm happy with the outcome regardless.

Good work.

I assume you used the missing Item method? If so, It has a very high success rate with AirPods.

Yeah I used EB and made sure the first rep was aware but weirdly enough when I got the incident report to fill out from the account specialist, he started it with "sorry to hear that your package didn't arrive when it said it was delivered".

Under the circumstances, It's certainly a strange response.

Was there any mention on your end of the package not arriving?

Not at all, I made sure to explicitly mention that I had the package and opened it on arrival.
