So this might be common knowledge to alot of SE'ers but just thought id mention it anyway.
a week ago i order an 18TB external HDD from amazon for use in a home server. i shucked the HDD and replace it with a broken very old 500GB HDD bit of hot glue later to secure it all in place inside the external enclosure (different size to the 18TB model)
Requested a refund and shipped the whole thing back - i was extremely careful in how to open the packing making it look like it wasnt even opened (even if the did open it the cellophane was still on the external enclosure so all looked like it happened been used/ opened.
Just had confirmation today they have processed the refund and will be in my account shortly
