Refunding an electric scooter from Pureelectric #1
Hiya! So I'd like to refund this scooter that weighs roughly 18kg. How would I go about doing this?

I've been thinking of saying it had smoke coming out of it while charging and I had firemen come to safely dispose of it..?

Biggrin thanks all

This Is called the "disposed of the faulty Item method" which Is rather effective, but requires pushing reps to their limit.

Alternatively and stating the obvious, you can DNA It.

Thanks for the reply! The DNA method I believe will be a bit hardy as they could take pictures of it being delivered and/or delivery driver coming back for revenge 😬, what would you suggest to do? I'm leaning more or the side of disposing it..

Will the package be dropped off and photos taken of the external property, or will the driver take a photo of the entryway?

Driver will take photos of the box with my door open (it's a common thing now) They almost never leave parcels on the doorstep. I live in a block of flats so someone will have to buzz them in upstairs..(I live with flatmates)

Prior to his arrival, rearrange your entryway by removing your current furniture, and replace It with rugs, chairs etc from another room. This gives the appearance that It's not your home.

When the driver arrives and asks to take photos, allow him to go ahead and when he leaves, place everything back to Its original state. As such, If they try to compare their photos against your current layout, they will not match, hence It'll render their Investigation Inconclusive.

Unfortunately I may not be home at the time of delivery and I can't ask the housemates to do this for obvious reasons.. :/ I can always add rugs afterwards to show its not my place if needed..

I understand your position.

As long as the photos don't match your entryway, you can do what you've suggested above.

I've done it all and it's been delivered by FedEx, the reply given was they take these thinfs very seriously and will conduct an investigation with photographic evidence and geolocative data, and they'll report it to the police.

They asked for me to ask neighbours before continuing with the above. What shall I do?

If it ever comes to that and they come a Knockin - police that is, and/or anyone else the flatmates might answer it and say otherwise which obviously can't happen..

What do you suggest?

Under the circumstances, their reply Is standard procedure.

Geolocation data cannot be used to verify that "you" received the package and although It only confirms the address, by no means does It conclude that the driver dropped It off at the time of delivery. Put simply, the driver scans It when It reaches Its destination (and It's recorded as the delivery point), but who's to say that the driver himself didn't take the package to another address thereafter? Or perhaps steal It? I've personally experienced both events quite a number of times.

As for their photographic evidence, you've got that covered.

That's a very positive sign meaning at this stage, they have no evidence of the whereabouts of your package, hence their request to ask your neighbors.

Do exactly that.

It's up to you to organize your environment with your flat mates.
