[Amazon] Did I fuck up using FTID? Anyone used it recently? 03-21-2021, 06:48 AM

I have been dabbling in refunds since 2018, stopping around end of 2020. Around the time I stopped, the FTID method was popular and I even used it myself. I mostly used it for Amazon and it worked wonderfully back then (I have probably done 10+ refunds all $1k + with the highest being 4.5k, using FTID with them ALL succeeding, of course on different accounts via friends) . Please note that I am in Australia so the Amazon AU policies might be different here.
Recently, I wanted to get a sewing/quilting machine ( ~2.4k) and some mics ( ~ 1.2k) for a total of around 3.6k. It was my mistake to not do more research as I blindly assumed that FTID is/was the best method. So I go ahead and do it, editing the label for it to deliver to a different address, filling the package with some packing peanuts. Later on, about 10 days later, when I contact Amazon, I notice that the chat interface has changed a lot from what I remember, even showing most if not all the times I contacted Amazon through live chat (I scrolled up and could read convos back from 2019 and 2020 I believe). The rep informed me that I would need to wait 2 weeks (which will be in 4 days from the time of posting) after which if the refund is not processed ( it shouldn't be as I sent back nothing but packing peanuts), they would open up an investigation.
The sewing machine weighs a lot, like 12kgs + & signed for so that why I didn't want to do DNA/EB
Now, in the past, I could live chat Amazon 1 week after I did the FTID and they would always manually process/refund me without any investigation. Through more research, I realise that FTID is not the godly method it was made out to be and I could be fucked here. Combined with Amazon chat being changed to show all the history, which made me kind of spooked as I could read back when I FTID'd back in early 2020, the rep saying an investigation will be opened and the fact that the method itself is flawed has made me worried.
Another thing is that my account has a history of refunds - 2 DNA in 2018/2019 I think, 2 FTID in 2019/ early-mid 2020, but after that no refunds with a good number of legit/real purchases being made since then
My question is, has anyone used FTID and succeeded recently with Amazon?
If the FTID DOES fail, what should I expect to happen? I have not touched the items at all, they are still in the Amazon boxes that I got them in... If they say that they received empty packages should I just make an excuse such as "oh my room mate sent the wrong package, let me resend them to you" and return them legitly?
What are my options here ? Please let me know your thoughts
I will update in the next few days when the 2 weeks are up and hopefully it goes through fine. I will not be using this method moving forward.
