Intersting ideas for SE'ing #1
Hi!
I was wondering if anyone here knows of any out of the box SE'ing techniques. I mean something other than refunding, something fresh, but still something that has high success rate. I want to take a break from refunding for a bit but don't know what to move to temporarily.

in other words, anyone got ideas on how to spice up SE'ing and still make a quick buck?

Thanks Biggrin

A refund method but slightly more interesting to me was to buy a phone, carefully open it while not breaking seals, put a display "dummy" device (for like $15 and are the same weight, size and appearance), switch the phones and return saying it was a gift.
What are your thoughts on this?

Sounds good to me. Pay cash and stay calm. Sounds like you know what your doing. My GF hits Bed Bath and Beyond a few times a month, just by saying she never got it, especially since they screwed up the first delivery. She uses her card too. Just my thoughts.

It called the sealed box method.

Given the objective Is to not show signs of tampering and the Item be placed back Into stock without checking the goods, you can put anything you like Inside the box. It will not be opened, hence what's enclosed Is Immaterial.

I guess my thinking is to avoid the risk of an investigation back on me in the future. If it is re-sold and someone gets rocks there would be a deeper look at the returns history. I know that's why you fake details, but this is an extra layer of security that would likely be passed as a faulty phone and thrown away by the re-seller.

Some of it is to cover my back, and some is to make sure the future buyer cries less when opening a box of expensive rocks, and to avoid them thinking a genuine seller is scamming them.
It's a healthy ecosystem if a genuine company doesn't lose rep over something which was my fault. Rep is worth more than money, as it makes them more money, and they recover from my attack on them.

Honestly, how tf did I get morals involved with SE'ing?...

I understand your viewpoint and to play It safe, I certainly agree.

However, who's to say that the buyer who purchases your return, Isn't an SE'er and does what you did- use the sealed box method? The moment It's scanned, placed Into stock and then picked, packed and dispatched, It's out of your hands and releases you from liability.
