eBay Shill bidding #1
Hi,

I have two eBay accounts. Separate from each other; different payment details, addresses etc. I am thinking of using them for shilling each other for an item I simply can't afford to sell for less than I need (and refuse to put a reserve on).

Any tips to keep eBay from flagging this? I realise they have copious measures in place to do so, but beyond a VPN and the usual different details etc, anything else to be cognizant of?

Cheers

Biggest things are billing details and IP address. That said, a bunch of unpaid auctions are also a red-flag, and they could connect the two. I would also say anything that's priced obscenely, with visible alternatives.

You could get away with it once, or twice, but they may catch you out if you keep doing it.

You used to be able to find people on Fiver who could shill your auction.

Nice one, thanks for the info both! Will keep in mind if I do it. Fully expecting the email follow-up email around a banned account, but will see.

Stating the obvious, change "every" Identifiable detail, and be sure there Isn't any unusual patterns with your transactions.
