Today, Kane Tanaka of Japan turned 118. She is the third person verified to have reached this age. The previous people verified to have reached age 118 are Jeanne Calment (in 1993) and Sarah Knauss (in 1998).

Can you imagine reaching the age of 60 and THAT being start off the second half of your life?

Wow that's nice. She's seen the biggest evolution of mankind during her time. So cool

Considering her age, she's very healthy.

We'll see whether she will surpass the oldest person to ever live, named Jeanne Louise Calment who died at the age of 122.

My prediction is that she will. Living in a modern Japan world is very beneficial for her.
I guess only time will tell though.

Same here.

There's nothing to suggest at this stage that her health will rapidly deteriorate.

We wish her only health and good luck in life!
