Honestly don't think they have gotten any harder, may just be the rep which you got? Just start again with a a fresh account.

Pretty usual if it’s an ionic or versa and you are not using private method that means you got caught and they will request the pebble back

Specialist never reply pretty much if they do they only reply with need the item back shipped and they send you the address , what he might try though is tell them rep told them to discard it at a recycling center idk how they call it in US, but some of Fitbits reps tend to do that or simply box them since it’s just a pebble but not sure if it’s worth the effort
