Help with 1070 - herotheking1 - 09-20-2018
So I bought this EVGA 1070 from amazon. It costed around $470 (inc shipping + taxes). What do you recommend when it comes to SE it. Should I SE evga or Amazon and what best method in case I had to sign the package?

To avoid being redirected, SE Amazon.
You can box them, or use the wrong Item received method.

SEing Amazon is definitely the easier route. I highly recommend boxing them, or if you have another GPU around the same weight, use the wrong item received method.

I agree, for the boxing method try dry ice, if you cant get any then do the wrong item recieved. I highly doubt it, but you could potentially do the never arrived method if you got a police report. You would have to wait longer, but on the plus side there is no extra cost involved.

Thanks for your replies lads. Please note that I am outside the US, way far away lol. So idk if boxing them is the best choice I have, the shipping will take so much time so I don't know. Should I go with DNA or Wrong Item?

Would you feel comfortable enough filing a police report? All that happens is that the police will come to your property and have a little sniff around and ask a couple of questions. You said that you were to far away to box them, but with the wrong item received you would still have to send them a parcel just with something of similar weight instead of dry ice.

If you're not confident with the DNA method, opt for the wrong Item received.
Purchase an Item that's significantly cheaper, weights the same and Is stocked by Amazon. The only thing you'll be out of pocket, Is the Item you've purchased for the SE.
