amazon need a signed statement - swagaloo - 08-08-2018

So amazon is asking me to sign a sworn statement that I received the wrong package before they can investigate. Should I attempt to corrupt the statement, don't really wanna sign it.

Yes. Corrupt at first. Try to play it off

Sounds like they're requesting to sign an affidavit/statutory declaration- both of which are legally binding. Do NOT sign. Take this under advisement for future reference.

Further to @DragonicRek's post above, no doubt they'll keep requesting the file, so keep corrupting It but In different file formats. Be apologetic each time and assure them that It's working fine on your end. This will give the Impression that you're trying your utmost best to comply and resolve the matter.

That's what I'm doing right now.

Yeah it's an affidavit. I've had some people say it was standard procedure for amazon.de and even if they don't find the investigation in your favor they don't take legal action unless the item is high valued. My order is around $300 and my claim was I've received broken alcohol bottles (checked whether they sold them and made sure the weight matches up)

Due to the fact It's legally binding, you don't know what It can lead to.

Best to leave It be.
