Royal Mail 24 question? - Rednaxela1 - 08-07-2018

I have received a parcel by this method. It wasn't signed for but i don't want to tell the company the parcel hasn't been received if they have tracking information at their end. How can i tell if they have confirmation of the package being delivered? This item is around £250 so i imagine they have some sort of delivery confirmation?

I could just use the empty box method instead i guess?

Thanks in advance.

Royal Mail are awful, they deny even proper claims with evidence. Don't bother if you're claiming from them however if you're claiming from another company you might have better luck.

In terms of using the empty box method, first and foremost, what's the size of the Item?

Royal Mail 24 comes with tracking as standard. On the packet is a barcode which the postman will scan to show it has been delivered. The company will have an account with Royal Mail and click the link to show the status of the parcel.

That being said I know a number of times that tracking shows delivered but legitimately hasn't. Its also worth noting the company can't claim for missing items when delivered by RM24, so they may fight it more.
