Amazon help required! URGENT - fang306 - 07-30-2018
Hey guys, i'm having trouble with a se attempt on amazon, it is for a 1299$ gaming laptop my account is fairly new and has had a dna then return on it also 2 legit purchases of a few hundred dollars, for this laptop I talked better than ever to the representative offering a sob story about a nephew not receiving a laptop for his birthday me promising him one going out and spending 1700$ for one at bestbuy because of amazon or fedex's error and that now I have to put in extra work for a police report very frustrating etc etc even mentioned the money was really important as I had upcoming rent to no avail. Now im stuck in a position where to obtain my refund I need to file a police report which i'd rather not do, is there any work around to this? If someone can fix my order that'd be greatly appreciated im willing to pay as well! I found someone who can fix it however they seem to be charging a very high price to do so and I don't know what "fixin" entails thank you! Although @"GosuSang" has got you covered, I'd like to add my thoughts.
Firstly, you cannot change your story. If you do, It's an admission of guilt. Also, a police report Is simply part of their paperwork process. If they were requesting an affidavit or statutory declaration signed, that's a different case altogether.

Yeah, I've read a lot about them because I considered doing this however, I was worried they would show up at my house or check the neighbourhood at least due to it being a high value item and my house has a camera at the front and they'd request a copy of the footage (also please note by my house I am using another persons address as a gesture of good will therefore they would freak if police showed up) Thank you very much for the assistance though @mothered and thanks gosu @"GosuSang" im at work atm but will hop on discord later!

I ended up paying for someone to "fix my order" @mothered resulting in me paying 50% of my purchase which was 1500$ CAD he made me switch the email of the account which I presume is a result of him not wanting me to see the method, but it seems as if all that he's done is just keep calling amazon.ca and talking to reps until a rep restarted the investigation

Oh sorry I meant that in response to you asking about the methods, gosusang isn't the person fixing my order he just offered advice, however the person fixing my order im not 100% sure on the method they're using but it looks as if they just kept calling amazon until a noob rep restarted an investigation im just guessing here but does that sound viable? I've received messages from amazon denying his repeated claims saying they need a police report for a missing item btu eventually got a message stating they'd restart the investigation
