Need help with amazon se - Dp110096 - 07-16-2018

I’m trying to se an item that’s about $500. I was going to say that the package never arrived but they took a picture of it on my doorstep. So what are my options now? Can I even do it anymore? The item is pretty heavy too so I wouldn’t be able to do anything like say the item wasn’t in the box. It’s pretty obvious that it’s in the box because of how heavy it is. Any help is appreciated.

You could say it is damaged in some sense or say it is damaged and poses a health hazard. If not then you're pretty much out of options.

No don't say the package is damaged. Then the mailman will be at fault. The last thing you want to do while scamming is hurting the common man.
Just say someone stole the package. Can't you think of that yourself?

Well yes I did think of that but I know exactly what’s gonna happen with that. They’re gonna say we can’t help you until you report it to the police and they investigate it. So I don’t really want to go down that route.

okay here are the steps
1. Say someone stole the package
2. Investigation will occur. Make sure you are on good terms with your mailman
3. Wait some time and you will get a refund

you can do that (which id recommend) or "return the item" and its not your fault if they lose it during return if something you're saying is this heavy surely the box can "accidentally break" meaning that the item is lost forever

Amazon does do a "signature upon receive" when you get it.

That depends on the carrier. I know fed-ex usually asks for signatures while USPS won't
Also, you can sign a fake signature and if you try to SE later, you can say that you never signed it

Yeah true. So many conclusions and ideas of bypassing it.

Agreed. Being creative and having the ability to adapt on the spot are two of the strongest forces of SE'ing imo.
